The Children’s Guardian Act is commencing 1 March 2020 and brings together existing legislation under one Act, to make the Office of the Children’s Guardian more independent and responsive.
The Office of the Children's Guardian (OCG) is holding FREE information sessions from March 2020 about the changes and how these will affect child-related organisations.
Who should attend?
These sessions are targeted at leaders in child-related organisations in NSW, including those who are captured by the Reportable Conduct scheme.
What does the session cover?
The information sessions are designed to:
- Increase your understanding of the new Children’s Guardian Act and how it impacts child-related organisations in NSW
- Build awareness of the Child Safe Standards and understand how prevention is key to keeping children safe in organisations
- Explain changes to the Reportable Conduct scheme and what organisations need to do to comply with new requirements
